Today we interview Maia Stern a really nice girl from New York that loves snails and music, such a lovely combination.
How is life in your country?
Oh life in my country is fine, thank you for asking! I live in Brooklyn, New York in the United States and it is quite a lovely place to live, as you might know about now! We get mostly all of the seasons here so when it rains it pours and when it’s sunny, you get a sunburn. It’s nice to bike around outside when the sun tells you to, and sometimes even when the sun is hiding. There’s a large variety of food choices here as well, so if food is your thing (which it probably should be or else you are really missing out) then Brooklyn most likely has what you’re craving.
What do you do? How did you meet eyesores?
I am a video producer for a music blog and I have my own blog as well, just for fun. I go to a lot of shows and I film bands playing their songs as well as interview them sometimes too. I post about lots of music I like as well as other things that just boggle my mind and interest me! Here is a picture of me at work wearing a mustache and dreaming of space pulpos. I also really really like Muppets. I came across the Eyesores when my friend Rafito sent me one for my birthday. I find them soo cute and creative and they say all the right things.
Do you have any funny story with them?
I watched some of the Eyesores animated videos and I enjoyed them so much that I wanted to post them on my own blog. Many of my friends saw it and watched the videos and loved them. I thought the videos were funny and i was glad to be able to share them with my friends just like how you can share Eyesores with friends on the Facebook. Sharing is caring.
Tell me your favorite one and why?
I really like the new Eyesore ‘whatever bag’. An Eyesore that can double as something useful to a human is a great idea. I would put my small video camera in it to keep it safe, the Eyesore can be the bag’s guardian. I also really like the Snail with the lollypop because I have a thing for snails (caracol), i think they are really cute even though they are slimy. I also am really fond of the space pulpo and of course the Rafito Eyesore. BUT it is really hard to just pick one Eyesore to be my favorite because I find them all unique and fun in their own way. Did you know there are over 738 Eyesores?! I mean of course you know that, but that is quite a lot of Eyesores! Where do they all sleep? Do they share beds with each other? They should. That is cute.

How is life in your country?
We have our ups and downs like most places but life is good here. Our country is relatively small so if you’re into travelling or watching bands then most every band tours this country at some point. It’s quite safe here. We don’t have any poisonous snakes or spiders. No leopards or mountain lions. If you want to get killed unfortunately you have to wait until the Grim Reaper tells you it’s time. We have copious amounts of rain which is good if you happen to own an umbrella. It will get good use. Also rain is good for growing things. And we all have to eat don’t we? If you hate sunshine then come on over and live with us – I’m sure that we could find you a spare bed.
What do you do? How did you meet eyesores?
I’m a Graphic Designer and a Musician and I as soon as I saw the Eyesores application on Facebook I had to start sending them. The illustrations are original, quirky, funny and very appealing. Since then I’ve become a fan of Eyesores and have visited the Eyesores website.
Do you have any funny story with them?
Not yet. I want T-Shirts with ”Pipisore”, “Playsore”, “Burny”, “Darksore” and “Far away” printed on the front. When I have those T-Shirts then I’m sure that funny stories will be happening to me thick and fast. Style and adventure go together.
Tell me your favorite one and why?
My favourite eyesore is “Tattoosore”. I really like the animated film The Yellow Submarine that The Beatles did. Tattoosore has got a little Blue Meanie about him. His blue colour, the red lips and the big teeth. He also has a lot of attitude. And he’s smoking the cigar the only way a cigar should be smoked – like Clint Eastwood in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly – through gritted teeth.

Today we will know, Javiera Alejandra Valenzuela Estibill (Jave) a 23 years old girl from Chile, as she says, the best country ever.
How is life in your country?
Life in Chile is preety cool… My country ain’t as loud and festive as Brazil or Argentina, but the thing that we have that you won’t find anywhere else, is any kind of natural beauty you can imagine!!! We have northern deserts and southern forests, we have a long coastline with beautiful beaches, and the cold wonders of the glaciers… You name it, you’ve got it!!!!
That is why, just as we have so many kinds of places and landscapes, we have different kind of people, from crazy lunatics (like me!) to quiet and peaceful dudes that like to sit by the sea and meditate about the misteries of life (well, i kinda do that to somethimes ;))
What do you do?
I’m a Pschycology Student, and I laugh, run, play and sing with my patients (that happen to be kids!), and I love it, cuz we have such a great time while doing therapy!!
Besides that, I like to go out with my frends, I absolutely LOVE to dance and sing, and I love to walk by the beach and think about what someone in the other side of the planet may be doing at the same time as me xD
How did you meet eyesores?
I met eyesores when I saw a cute doggie taking a piss on the wall of a friend!!! I thought it was marvelous work and really neat cartoons, so I started using the aplicattion ever since, especially when it is someone’s birthday.
Do you have any funny story with them?
I don’t know if my story is funny, but once I was passing through a terrible moment in my life, i thought my life didn’t have a meaning and all that crazy stuff people think when they’re down, and I went to eyesores, I was going to post something on a friend’s wall, and the I saw the “the sky is the limit” eyesore… I thought that was a sign, something telling me that there where so many things to do, to create, to dream, and I was letting myself down for nothing… I decides that from that moment on, I would always think that “the sky is the limit” when I felt sad, and I still do :)
Tell me your favorite one and why?
The skysore of course, and the other one I like a lot is “thanks me it’s friday”, I remember I laughed so hard when I saw it that my brother came to see what happened to me xD I just thinks it´s genius!!!! besides being a really great illustrator, you are such a creative one Xavi, even in the names you pick!!!! I’m one of your biggest fans ever ;) you rock!!! and TGIFsore RULZZZZ!!!!

Do you like eyesores? so here is a fun story I want to share with you.
I’ve been noticing that the eyesores users are too cool for school and from all over around the world, and I thought, hold on, why I don’t interview them? I think it could be fun and cool, right?
The format, will be really simple, once a week I will pick personally one of your stories, and create a blog post with your answers and your eyesorized photo, also the chance to promote her/his work, twitter etc. all in a nice blog post of the eyesores.
